Tribe Review: HOOGA Pillows

Our first ever #TribeReviews article reviews none other than popular brand HOOGA on their pillows!
I was first introduced to the world of HOOGA when I chanced upon their outlet located in Suntec City. What stood before my eyes were shelves and beautiful displays of soft and warm looking plushies modelled after shapes, candles and a lovely scent. Needless to say, I soon became obsessed with the shop, and I could never leave a mall without visiting the outlet if I happened to be there.
There’s something magical about visiting a shop like HOOGA, especially when you’re on a date with your partner. It’s almost akin to the magical feeling you get when you visit IKEA, for me at least, where you can imagine buying furniture for your home. Even if it’s for an hour, it felt special to me.
But anyway, if you haven’t had the chance to visit HOOGA, then you’ll probably be unfamiliar with what I’m going to say. But stay tuned anyway, for this week, the tribe reviews HOOGA Pillows!
At the time of writing this article, HOOGA presently offers a total of 13 types of pillows for customers to try. And if you are familiar with the brand, and have visited any of their physical stores, you’ll know that their shops have a wide display of the various types of stuffing that they use in each pillow, so you know exactly what you’re getting in each pillow. Our first recommendation from HOOGA is none than the Brigette White Tea and Ginger Contour Pillow. Sporting the same name as the best scent from their reed diffuser series (a must try, and something I live by!), the pillow itself is infused with the scent of white tea and ginger, which helps in rejuvenating your skin for a better and healthier outlook. Additionally, the interesting curvature of pillow will assist in improving your sleeping posture, as it follows the natural alignment of the spine and body.
And don’t you worry about the washing, for the removal and washable cover is easily maneuvered and your pillows can be hung under the hot sun to sanitize before using them again. And if you’re one who likes memory foam in your mattress and pillows, then this is the pillow for you! But of course, if you’re curious whether this pillow will suit you, it’s better suited for back sleepers, so if you’re looking to get a new pillow, this may be just it!
Our second contestant is none other than, and coincidentally matches my name, the Zoey Cooling Microfiber Memory Pillow! Before I go into saying how much I like their pillows, I find it extremely fun to keep a lookout on every new collection that they have, and if you are able to find your name on any of their products, it’ll feel extra special!
The Zoey Cooling Microfibre Memory Pillow boasts to be one of the, if not most, cooling pillows that you will be able to find at HOOGA. Perfect for heat sensitive sleepers, like myself, the Zoey is filled with a visco elastic filling, and is luxuriously soft. With active temperature regulation and moisture wicking material, it will you through even the hottest nights, and from what we can tell these days in Singapore, we’re going to need it.
The naturally hypoallergenic material will ensure that you’re in a for safe, comfortable and well-deserved sleep every single night.
And last but not the least, we have the Valeria Microfibre V-Shape Pillow, for the side sleepers. Being able to lie down comfortably and have something to hug while you sleep? Sign us up!
The cleverly designed V-Shaped pillow is capable of supporting your many sleeping positions and when not in need, easy to store. The resilient fibres that line the inner part of the pillow ensures that you’ll be assured of its longevity and will definitely not be something that will spoil over a short period of time. Furthermore, the apt design of this particular pillow allows you to use it for more than just sleeping at night, and can extend into leisure resting, used when you are gaming or just watching your dramas and movies while resting.
